BHSc (Hons) Program Office Closed – Services to continue remotely
In an effort to consider the safety of everyone during these changing times and until further notice, the BHSc (Hons) Program Office will be closed.
Services will continue to be provided and will be available remotely either by phone, email or web conferencing platforms.
Please refer to COVID-19 website for information and updates, https://covid19.mcmaster.ca
For anyone who feels they may have symptoms of COVID-19, Ontario has now launched an enhanced and interactive self-assessment tool at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/#q0 This easy-to-use tool steps through a series of questions to inform those who are concerned they may have contracted COVID-19. The tool quickly helps people determine if they are negative or it will provide them with guidance on where to seek care based on their needs.
At this time, academic advising will be available by email, phone or web conferencing platforms. There will be no in-person advising.
This includes: late course withdrawals, MSAF exceptions, questions related to course registration, and so on.

We recognize that there are many uncertainties at this time and this may translate into stress for many students, please be reminded of the following supports and resources available to you both on and off campus:
Student Support & Case Management (available to students)
The Student Wellness Centre – The Student Wellness Centre (SWC) is the place on campus to address your wellness needs. They provide a range of counselling options, medical services and wellness programs. SWC remains open with some changes to service delivery. Please see the following site for up to date info: https://wellness.mcmaster.ca/service-update-swc-remains-open/
Good2Talk – Provides 24/7 confidential counselling, information, and referrals to all post-secondary students in Ontario via phone at 1-866-925-5454.
McMaster Student Assistance Program – MSU insurance plan offers undergraduate students access to 24 hour counselling services (along with other resources and supports). To access, please call 1-877-234-5327.
A few other resources you might find useful as well:
- A prof at U of T put together a list of tips specifically for university students about how to stay grounded and cope with some of the stressors you’re facing.
- Yale is making its most popular course available to audit for free, “The Science of Well-Being”. You may not want to take this on right at this moment, but it might be of interest once your work for the semester is done.
Stay safe and well.
